Annual Golf Scramble Fundraiser

The Fort Hood Scholarship Fund Golf Scramble has become our premier annual fundraising event and a cornerstone of our mission to support military families pursuing higher education.

As our scholarship program continues to grow, we have made the decision to move the Golf Scramble to the fall beginning this year. This change will allow us to focus our spring efforts on celebrating our scholarship recipients and their families at our annual Scholarship Awards Banquet while continuing to strengthen both events.

We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and community partners whose generosity and support make this event a success year after year. Their commitment directly impacts the lives of military-connected students and spouses throughout the six counties we proudly serve.

Every dollar raised through the Golf Scramble is invested back into our mission through scholarships, helping deserving members of our military community achieve their educational goals and build brighter futures.

Registration for the Swing For Scholars Golf Scramble Fundraiser is now officially open — and we are ready to have an amazing time Friday, October 16th!

We’re excited to welcome all of our teams, sponsors, and supporters for a day full of fun, friendly competition, and community impact. From creative team spirit to great prizes, this is shaping up to be an event you won’t want to miss!

I am sincerely honored to have been selected as an FHMFMSF scholarship recipient. Though this past year has been full of uncertainty and change, I am certain about this: receiving this scholarship has made me incredibly motivated and determined to finish my education. I hope that I can one day give back to my community, similarly to how this community in Fort Hood has given back to me. For the next three years, I will be pursuing a bachelor's degree in biological sciences to later continue my education at optometry school. I graduated from Texas A&M in 2017 with a degree in Environmental Geosciences, where I followed my father's footsteps and joined the Corps of Cadets. I was also a member of the Aggie Band. The Fort Hood Scholarship helped me achieve my education goals without student loan debt. I got married in February 2020 to my beautiful wife Meagan, and we are very grateful for the position we are in thanks to the series of events that kicked off with this scholarship. We've lived and worked in DFW for about five years, and hope to someday give back to the military community that has given so much opportunity to us.
