Scholarship Recipient
I am sincerely honored to have been selected as an FHMFMSF scholarship recipient. Though this past year has been full of uncertainty and change, I am certain about this: receiving this scholarship has made me incredibly motivated and determined to finish my education. I hope that I can one day give back to my community, similarly to how this community in Fort Hood has given back to me. For the next three years, I will be pursuing a bachelor's degree in biological sciences to later continue my education at optometry school. Due to the generosity of this organization, my future looks bright. Thank you for enabling me to reach my fullest potential.

I graduated from Texas A&M in 2017 with a degree in Environmental Geosciences, where I followed my father's footsteps and joined the Corps of Cadets. I was also a member of the Aggie Band. The Fort Hood Scholarship helped me achieve my education goals without student loan debt. I got married in February 2020 to my beautiful wife Meagan, and we are very grateful for the position we are in thanks to the series of events that kicked off with this scholarship. We've lived and worked in DFW for about five years, and hope to someday give back to the military community that has given so much opportunity to us.

I am so thankful to have received a scholarship from the FHMFMSF. The generosity of the organization and its donors will have a lasting impact on my education. I am currently studying at the University of Texas at Austin to obtain a bachelor's degree in mathematics. The scholarship I received motivates me to work hard in my classes and strive to make an impact on the community around me. I want to make the FHMFMSF proud!
